Introduction
Holandska Kuća is located on the main city street, standing out from other buildings with its distinctive facade, from which it derives its name, meaning “Dutch House”. Built in the mid-19th century, it is one of the last large warehouses constructed in the city during that time. The lower part of the building was used as a commercial space, while the upper part served as a warehouse. The preserved beam construction gives the space a unique ambient character.
Since 2019, the building has been renovated as part of the project “Industrial Heritage Info Center – Holandska Kuća”, aimed at presenting the industrial heritage of Sisak through original artifacts and modern technology. Visitors can also explore the space of the Striegl City Gallery and view items from the Kraker Collection, which includes vintage phonographs, gramophones, and radio devices.
