Tourist Board of the City of Popovača

Popovača and its twelve neighboring villages are home to 12,000 residents who enjoy the proximity of the world-renowned Lonjsko Polje Nature Park and the forested Moslavačka Gora Regional Park. Situated along the Zagreb-Lipovac highway and the Zagreb-Vinkovci railway line, the settlements seem to flow gently from the slopes into the plain toward the fertile floodplain of Lonjsko Polje.

Lonjsko Polje is home to as many as 350 species of birds. Horses, cows, herons, and storks roam freely across the landscape, reminiscent of idyllic scenes from the masterpieces of landscape painters.
